Starting on July 11th the Overwatch League Playoffs will start. With six teams vying for the 1-million-dollar prize. The East and West Coast division teams with the best records get a bye to the semifinals, this year that will be the New York Excelsiors and the Los Angeles Valiants. Four more teams will be selected to join in the competition. The teams will have to beat each other in a series of matches “Each Series is a best of 3 matches (each match is a best of 5 maps). The first team to win 2 matches wins the series.” (OverwatchLeague.com) So don’t expect the team your rooting for to lose just because of a bad game.
We are going to keep tabs on the proceedings as they happen incase you miss a match. But you can watch live “across a variety of platforms, including Twitch, MLG.com and the MLG app (on iOS and Android), and right here on OverwatchLeague.com. You can also watch games within the brand-new Overwatch League app, available now for iOS and Android devices.” (OverwatchLeague.com) Its looking to be a great Playoff series with some really good teams. We expect to see some great teamwork and maybe some unorthodox approaches. So, keep up to date, you might even learn some new tricks to use in your own game.
