All Elite Wresting- BREAKING!!

All Elite Wrestling Poolside Rally

Thursday night in Las Vegas, All Elite Wrestling held another rally. An event that let fans know how and when they can buy tickets for the ALL IN follow up show Double or Nothing and revealed new roster additions as well as five confirmed matches. Oh, and the addition of an Independent wrestler you may have heard of named Kenny Omega!

Double or Nothing will be held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena May 25th, 2019. After the shocking success of the ALL IN show in Chicago last year (selling out in 10 minutes) they are trying to give more people a chance to get tickets. Now and until Sunday night you can go to www.allelitewrestling.com and sign up for the presale code. The Presale will begin Monday, February 11th and 3pm EST. The sale to the general public will be held February 13th at Noon EST. I recommend doing the presale.

Another surprise at the Rally was the announcement of the partnership with the Mexican wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA. This promotion is known for their high flying and brutal Luchadores. This along with the partnership with Oriental Wrestling Entertainment , AEW is revolutionizing the wrestling world. The sharing of resources and providing fans with dream matches that have never been seen before!

While another major wrestling promotion seems intent on killing tag team wrestling, AEW is giving it a major “Push”. Which is to be expected from arguably the best tag team in the world, The Young Bucks. Last night AEW announced the addition of the tag team “The Best Friends” Chuck Taylor and Trent Berreta and a major surprise the Lucha Bros. Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr who some think they are the best tag team in the world. This lead to a confrontation between the Young Bucks and the Lucha Bros that left the Young Bucks laying in agony. Confirming that at Double or Nothing we will see the Young Bucks vs. The Lucha Bros!

The Chief Branding (or Brandi) Officer, Brandi Rhodes came out and announced a match between Yuka Sakazaki vs. Aja Kong at Double or Nothing. Sakazaki is an up and coming wrestler that many are excited to see in the US and Aja Kong is… terrifying! This should be a phenomenal match. Brandi also announced to full-time roster additions: Kylie Rae and Nyla Rose. Who coincidently will have a match at Double or Nothing this May. Kylie Rae may have been the hottest female free agent wrestler in the business. She is a huge signing for AEW! Also, another trendsetting move for AEW is the fact that Nyla Rose is on the roster at all! Nyla is the first transgender woman ever to sign to a major wrestling promotion. AEW is changing the wrestling world, for the better.

The rally officially announced five matches for Double or Nothing.

  • Bastard Pac vs. Adam “Hangman” Page
  • The Young Bucks vs. The Lucha Bros.
  • SCU vs. a Trio from OWE
  • Kyle Rae vs. Nyla Rose

The fifth match is a MAJOR announcing after months of speculation, months of teasing on the Being Elite YouTube channel, Kenny “The Cleaner”Omega has signed with All Elite Wrestling!  Alongside Cody, Matt and Nick Jackson, Kenny will also serve as an Executive Vice President for AEW. In classic wrestling promotion fashion, Kenny was interrupted during his speech by none other than Chris Jericho which lead to fisticuffs on the stage. That resulted in the long-awaited rematch of Alpha vs. Omega!  Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho at Double or Nothing!

We now know who The Young Bucks, Hangman, Jericho, Omega and SCU will take on at Double or Nothing. There is one glaring omission from the match card. Who will Cody fight?! There have been rumors all over the internet of WWE stars jumping ship and joining AEW. Some of the names have been unrealistic due to contracts situations but a few that have been intriguing. I won’t list them all out here but I will leave you with a match that  I would love to see in Las Vegas on May 25th.

Legacy vs. Legacy: Cody vs. Randy Orton.

It’s a long shot or more accurately a pipe dream but think of the crowd pop!

What do you think of the moves AEW have made so far? Who would you like to see Cody take on this May?
